ASTM A789 S31803 S32205 TUBE is a steel class that combines many excellent properties such as excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and ease of manufacturing and processing. The physical properties are intermediate between austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, but closer to ferritic stainless steels and carbon steels. ASTM A789 S31803 S32205 TUBE has a microstructure that is approximately 50/50 ferrite phase and austenitic phase.


The benefit of using ASTM A789 S31803 S32205 TUBE is that it has twice the strength of traditional austenitic steel grades combined with high corrosion resistance. Less material and welding is required for machining. Further benefits include easy handling and less overall impact on the environment. Moreover, it also has excellent rust resistance, impact resistance and is less prone to fracture.
